Get to Know meI am a student at Francis Howell High School and I enjoy playing volleyball and (of course) photography!! Growing up I loved taking pictures of everything around me, trying to find the perfect angles, lighting, etc. As I got older I became more serious about my passion for photography and got myself my first DSLR camera. My freshman year in high school I had the opportunity to take a photography class, and I gained a greater respect for photography. As well, I attained a better understanding of the basics of photography relating to photo composition which started my growth as a photographer.
I mainly take pictures around the St. Charles, MO area for many different occasions such as family pictures, senior pictures, sports, and many more. |
why i love photography
Pictures as a whole have always been someting so special to me, the way they capture a moment or tell a story wether it's an exciting, sad, or scary time. As a photographer, I get to decide the way I want to capture the moment or how I want to tell the story, and I'm able to share that with many people. When taking pictures for others, I love being the one to preserve an important event in their lives and knowing that they get to enjoy and remember that moment for the rest of their life because of me. I love that they can look back later on and be able to remember something that was happening and the way it looked. Photography is often seen as a form of art and furthermore, a complex language. For as long as I could remember, every time I saw something I thought was beautiful or eye-catching such as a sunset or flower, I have wanted to capture it. The creation of an image to capture that moment is what makes me an artist in the photography field. Each image captured expresses an emotion and any human emotion can be represented in any picture. Many photographers, including myself, use photography as a way to express ourselves; in other words, a complex language. Photography's powerful magic in my life will always be important to me and my respect for it continuely grows.
